BOCHT by JELMER REUS
Created at the crossroads of art and furniture, we present you: BOCHT. Made by Dutch artist Jelmer Reus. This piece of beauty is made from 100% recycled waste linoleum. The linoleum is pressed into a new, self-developed sheet material that goes by the name ‘Multilyno’. With Multylino, as his own developed material, Jelmer creates limited available products from combined waste streams and a permanent collection.
Each chair features its own ‘barcode’; a unique construction of layered linoleum. Carefully selected from Forbo’s waste stockpile, highlighting sustainable design. The natural flex in the backrest comes from linoleum's inherent flexibility, while the finish reflects its original purpose as a natural surface material.
This piece should be considered more of a sculptural artwork that happens to serve as seating furniture. The design is a true statement of beauty; a colorful centrepiece which questions consumerism and expresses creativity in a unique way. A conversation piece to keep talking about, definitely.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about this exclusive design and its color combinations. We are more than happy to help you.
