ROGER CAPRON coffee table
A unique one! This rectangular coffee table by Roger Capron features ceramic tiles with the indexes of real leaves and plants! The motives were created by pressing the plants into the clay them before it was fired. Roger Capron (1922-2006), a French ceramicist studied at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, he settled in Vallauris in 1946, a town known for its ceramic tradition. We offer you a “Herbarium” one of Capron’s most characteristic designs from the 1970s. In this period his workshop reached its peak with approximately 120 employees, specialized in beautiful coffee tables combining ceramic tiles with wooden frames. Capron won several prestigious awards, including the International Grand Prize for Ceramics in 1970.
